What is the Filing Cabinet?

The filing cabinet is where you can find your payroll, tax and billing records. It is separated into pages for Payroll, Federal Taxes, State and Local Taxes and Billing. You have access to these records even after you cancel your service.

Payroll

This page includes a record of the paystubs for every closed or pending payroll you have run through Poppins. If you have been using Poppins during more than one calendar year, there is a year drop down year selector at the top.

Note: You may need to download or use these records if you have a flexible childcare spending account through your employer.

Federal Taxes

This is an itemized list of the federal taxes that have been paid and are still owed on all payroll through Poppins. It includes both the taxes withheld from your employees pay and the taxes that are contributed by you, as the employer.

In this section, you will also find your year-end documents (Schedule H and Form W-2) after they are ready (usually in late January).

W-2 – This IRS form reports wages paid to employees and the taxes withheld from them. An employer must provide a completed W-2 to their employees by January 31.

Schedule H - This IRS schedule reports payroll taxes owed by a household employer (like you). You file Schedule H with your individual tax returns (typically a Form 1040)

If you elected the year-end tax package or kept your account active through the end of the year, Poppins will prepare a Schedule H and W-2s for you.

State and Local Taxes

This is where you can find an itemized list of your state and local (if applicable in your jurisdiction) taxes. This includes the taxes for past periods that have already been paid and the amount that will be due for the current tax period. The tables show both the taxes withheld from your employee’s pay and the taxes that are contributed by you, as the employer.

Billing

This shows all the amounts that we have charged and the reason for the charge.
